About Peter Bartczak
I was born on boring Long Island, NY, and luckily escaped to Pratt Institute where I studied art and filmmaking. Onward to San Francisco in 1972, where I set up my own graphic arts shop, Clownbank Studio, specializing in airbrushed signs, murals, and illustrations. Starting with air brushing t-shirts to order, literally, on Beach street at Fisherman's Wharf, I went on to do work for clients such as Atari, Silicon Graphics, Dell Publishing, 6 Flags Discovery Kingdom, and Disney, as well as the art commissions of Santa Cruz, Gilroy, Watsonville, Paradise, Sacramento, and Salt Lake City, to name a few. Today I reside in Royal Oaks, Ca. with my wife Frances and three dogs, and two cats. I am excited about my new series of personal paintings but still look forward to challenging commissions.
